The rebels of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) on Wednesday put forward a proposal to the government on the legalization of marijuana and coca plantings and refusal to prosecute farmers involved in their cultivation, the head of the rebel delegation at the talks with the government, Ivan Marquez.
This proposal FARC is considered a key to the success of the negotiations in the country, which is a world leader in the production of cocaine. The head of the delegation of the rebels said that the proposal was included in the list of topics to discuss with the authorities of the FARC in the talks in Havana.
