Guitarist Mick Thomson of heavy metal band Slipknot has been stabbed during a drunken fight with his brother, according to police.
The US group is known for its aggressive sound, violent imagery and theatrical Halloween-style costumes.
Thomson and his brother Andrew were at a house in Des Moines, Iowa, when a drunken brawl began in the early hours and Thomson was reportedly stabbed in the back of the head.
The pair were outside when the police arrived. After being separated they were taken to different hospitals.
