The fire broke out in a multistorey building where Sahil Trade Center is located has finally been extinguished, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Etibar Mirzayev told SIA.
The deputy Minister said no one was injured in the accident. "The fire was put out late as the movement of the fire vehicles was hampered because of density of cars"
He refuted the reports that some people were stuck inside the building.
Despite the fire was extinguished, smoke is still being observed around the fire-hit building.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has established a staff in the area to give information about the fire and also to distribute water and buttermilk among the citizens.
The Entrance and the exit of Sahil subway station are closed at the moment. The station is reportedly filled with water.
