The adoption of a resolution on the so-called "Armenian genocide" by the US Senate is not a reflection of the official policy of the White House administration, SIA informs , citing US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger.
"This resolution is a legislative document. The Senate has made its decision on this issue and we must take this into account," he said.
The ambassador also noted that the United States and Turkey are allies, particularly within NATO: "We are close friends and partners. We will continue our friendship."
