The Baku Initiative Group (BIG) has created significant resonance with its work within international law. Even during meetings with ambassadors, there are claims that "Azerbaijan interferes in France's internal affairs," indicating that BIG's activities have produced results, said Zahid Oruj, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), Report informs.
Oruj made this statement at an international conference in Baku titled "Independence of Reunion: A Look at France's Colonial Heritage and Path to Sovereignty."
He noted that Reunion, despite its small territory and population, has produced brilliant individuals. "They simply want political freedom. Additionally, there are domestic concerns about our leadership in this movement. Strasbourg regularly offers advice to the world in each session. Why aren't these peoples given guidance?" Oruj questioned.
