“1,508 people have submitted applications to participate in the Azerbaijani snap parliamentary elections scheduled for September 1, with 1,462 candidacies confirmed by the Central Election Commission,” Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman, announced in a meeting Saturday.
“The CEC has registered 1,030 candidacies for parliamentary seats so far,” Panahov noted.
“1,197 candidacies have already returned their signature sheets,” he added.
