Elon Musk loses his trillionaire status

US entrepreneur Elon Musk’s fortune has fallen below $1 trillion to $957 bln, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which is calculated based on the value of companies’ shares, among other things.

The latest changes saw the businessman’s fortune shrink by $118 bln.

On June 12, Musk became the first person in the world to surpass $1 trillion in wealth after the shares of his company, SpaceX, began trading. Thus, he held trillionaire status for almost two weeks.
