A meeting of the International Committee on Standardization, Metrology, and Certification (ICSMC) was held in a hybrid format (both in-person and video conference) on behalf of the State Service.
The meeting was organized by the Azerbaijan Standards Institution, which is under the State Service, in collaboration with the Russian Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology, and other international organizations, SIA reports.
The meeting was attended by representatives of national standardization bodies from Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and other countries. The meeting discussed reports on the activities carried out in 2023, as well as issues related to the integration of international technical committees and the expansion of application areas.
The meeting also discussed the development of new international technical committees and the implementation of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards. The meeting was attended by representatives from government agencies, including the State Service and the Russian Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology.
The International Committee on Standardization, Metrology, and Certification is a intergovernmental organization that coordinates international activities in standardization, metrology, and certification.
