Russia adds 'Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty' to undesirable organizations list

The Russian Ministry of Justice has added the corporation "Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty" to the country's list of undesirable foreign and international non-governmental organizations.

This decision was reported in materials published on the ministry's website on February 20, SIA reports.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office deemed the corporation's activities undesirable.

As previously reported, the Prosecutor General's Office made the decision to consider the radio station's activities undesirable in Russia on February 2, 2024.

Currently, there are 142 organizations on Russia's list of "undesirable persons." Inclusion in this list implies that the organization's activities are prohibited in the country, and Russian citizens are forbidden from cooperating with it due to potential criminal prosecution.
