President Ilham Aliyev sends condolences to Queen Elizabeth II and Prime Minister Boris Johnson on loss of Prince Philip

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Friday extended his condolences to Her Majesty Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the loss of Prince Philip, the duke of Edinburgh.

"We were deeply saddened by the news of the death of your husband- the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.

Having lived an honorable and dignified life, Prince Philip faithfully served his people, was always with you and supported you in your responsible activities for the welfare of your country.

I share your grief at these difficult times, and on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deepest condolences to you, your family members and all your people," reads the letter to Queen Elizabeth II.

"I was deeply saddened by the news of the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.

On the occasion of this heavy loss, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the family of late Prince Philip and all the people of the United Kingdom," added Ilham Aliyev in his letter to Boris Johnson.
