Officials from Azerbaijan and Albania have initiated their first round of political consultations, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring cooperation opportunities, SİA reports via the Azerbaijani MFA.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Foreign Minister, while the Albanian side was headed by Endrit Yzeiraj, Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania Economic Diplomacy.
During the discussions, the delegations reviewed current political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as prospects for deepening collaboration in multilateral formats. The talks highlighted the role of strategic energy and transport projects spearheaded by Azerbaijan in advancing bilateral relations.
Fariz Rzayev also briefed participants on the post-conflict regional situation, mine clearance efforts, and ongoing large-scale reconstruction in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories. The consultations included exchanges on broader regional, global, and bilateral matters of shared interest, underscoring the commitment of both countries to enhance their partnership within international organizations.
