The President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Souza, has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.
SIA reports that the congratulatory message includes the following:
"On the occasion of your re-election as the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I extend my sincere congratulations on behalf of the Portuguese people and personally convey my best wishes for success in your high state activities.
I am confident that we will further develop the excellent relations between our countries and peoples on a bilateral and multilateral basis in all areas.
Mr. President, let me once again extend my congratulations to you and kindly accept my best wishes for the prosperity and development of the Azerbaijani people."
