A mine explosion has occurred in the Lachin district, Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutor General's Office and Mine Action Agency of The Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) told SİA.
According to the information, on August 3, 2024, a mine explosion occurred in the Kalafalig village territory of the liberated Lachin district: "Ali Zeynalabdin oglu Suleymanov, a resident of Vagazin village of the Lachin district, born in 1960, stepped on a landmine while grazing livestock in the pasture area of a height called Saribaba in the Kalafalig village area of the same district. As a result of the incident, Ali Suleymanov was injured in his left leg. An investigation is being conducted by the Lachin district prosecutor's office regarding the incident."
"ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General's Office once again call on citizens to adhere to safety regulations, pay close attention to mine danger signs, and avoid entering unfamiliar areas," the statement notes.
