At Least 12 Killed, 20 Injured in Attack on Market in Kaduna, Nigeria

A report from local media outlets has revealed that at least 12 people have been killed and 20 others injured in an attack on Maro Market in Kaduna, Nigeria.

The attack was carried out by armed bandits, according to Kajuru County's leader, Kafra Kaino, SIA reports with reference to foreign media.

Kaino stated that the armed bandits stormed the market, resulting in the deaths of 12 people and the injury of 20 others. The incident is the latest in a series of attacks in the region, which has been plagued by terrorism and violence.

The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a terrorist group affiliated with Boko Haram and ISIS, has been responsible for several attacks in the region. Since January, hundreds of people have been killed and over 300 others have been taken hostage as a result of attacks in Kaduna state.

The latest attack on Maro Market brings the total number of fatalities to over 100, and the number of hostages taken to over 300. The Nigerian government has yet to comment on the incident, but local authorities have vowed to take action to protect citizens from these attacks.
