Podolyak: Kremlin won't benefit from implicating Ukraine in terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall

Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the Ukrainian Presidential Office, stated in an interview with Meduza News Agency that the Kremlin would not benefit from implicating Ukraine in the terrorist attack at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall, SİA informs.

He argued that such rhetoric would not aid Russian authorities, noting that Russia’s mobilization and societal militarization are proceeding unabated, with no indication of shifting focus.

Podolyak expressed that leveraging the terrorist act to intensify mobilization efforts would be redundant, as these processes are already in motion.

He suggested that the Kremlin’s actions might be aimed at altering other countries’ perceptions of Ukraine, possibly to undermine democratic nations’ support for Ukraine. However, he emphasized that, due to the presence of objective facts concerning the terrorist act, Russia’s attempts were unlikely to succeed.

He also mentioned past instances from 2016 to 2018 when Russian propaganda efforts sought to link Ukraine with various terrorist groups.
