Russia imposes sanctions on 347 individuals from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania

The Press Service of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Russia has applied sanctions against 347 citizens of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

The sanctions lists include prime ministers, government officials, deputies, public servants, and media workers, SİA reports citing Russian media.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has justified the restrictions by attributing them to the Baltic countries' hostile policies towards Russia.

Diplomats have also emphasized that the list can be expanded at any time, depending on the international situation in politics and the economy.

Earlier, Estonian Prime Minister Kaia Kallas expressed support for the deployment of NATO forces to the conflict zone in Ukraine. According to her, the West's assistance to Kyiv is "not escalation but defense."
