More than 180 civil servants fired in Kyrgyzstan for connections to organized crime

More than 180 employees of government agencies in Kyrgyzstan were fired due to connections with members of the organized crime group Kamchy Kolbaev and the ex-deputy chairman of the Customs Service Raiymbek Matraimov, SİA informs with reference to local media.

The press service of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan that notes that more than 226 civil servants of various ranks who had connections with Kolbaev and Matraimov were exposed.

"In the Customs Service alone, 85 employees were identified, 76 of whom were dismissed. Some 26 employees were detected in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 14 were suspended from official duties. Six deputies of local councils surrendered their mandates. 65 people were dismissed from district state administrations and local self-government bodies," the State Committee for National Security noted.
