The screening of the military film "Khoja" dedicated to the Khojaly genocide by Azerbaijani director Vahid Mustafayev took place within the framework of the "Retrospective" film project.

Before the screening of the film, bouquets of flowers were arranged at the memorial corner dedicated to Khojaly.

Saadat Kadyrova, the director of the "Azerbaijan" Pavilion, spoke about the importance of conveying history to the younger generation: "Every year we honor the memory of the victims of this terrible tragedy. This is a very sad and tragic page of our history. We remember how in 1992 Armenian armed forces attacked the sleeping peaceful city of Khojaly. This tragedy was the starting point for us Azerbaijanis."

Kadyrova noted that young people were invited to the screening of the film "Khoja" today, because it is they who will build our future: "We consider it important for the young generation to know their history. This pain in our hearts will live forever. With the victory in the Second Karabakh War, we responded to the enemy and proved to the entire world community that we are a nation that can stand behind us and resist."

Later, the Azerbaijani historian, director of the Caucasian History Center, Rizvan Huseynov made a speech at the event in an online format.

As part of the screening of the film, a photo exhibition dedicated to the Khojaly genocide was organized in the "Azerbaijan" pavilion.
