According to SİA, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkey shared a Twitter post on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Turkey became the first state to recognize the independence of Azerbaijan on November 9, 1991. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on January 14, 1992.
The Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey was opened in August 1992. Consulates General of Azerbaijan were established in Istanbul in January 1993 and Kars on April 12, 2004.
