A new initiative in the banking sector: Birbank plants trees in honor of newborns
Birbank has launched an initiative to plant trees in honor of newborn children, introducing a new approach to celebrating the arrival of a new generation while contributing to environmental sustainability.
As part of the “Adı ilə böyüsün” (“Grow with your name”) project, parents who receive a birth allowance from the bank are provided with a special certificate confirming that a tree has been planted in honor of their child.
Commenting on the project, Mahammand Ibrahimov, Leader of the Operations Office at Kapital Bank, said: “What makes this project particularly meaningful to us is that the arrival of every newborn is marked by planting a tree, turning this special moment into a lasting green legacy. As the child grows, so does the memory created by this initiative. We want children, years from now, to see the tree planted in their honor and feel that their arrival into the world was a meaningful and valuable event for society. In this way, a memory that begins in the very first days of their lives can stay with them for years to come.”
The “Adı ilə böyüsün” project has been implemented since September. Certificates confirming the planting of the trees are sent to Birbank customers via SMS on a weekly basis. Parents can verify the authenticity of their certificates through the yasilgelecek.az website.
The initiative not only turns the arrival of a child into a special and memorable occasion, but also contributes to greening efforts and promotes a culture of caring for the environment.
The project is being implemented through cooperation between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Greening and Landscape Structure OJSC, and Kapital Bank.
