Ilham Aliyev: Armenian lobby trying to sow discord between Moscow and Baku

Armenia and the Armenian lobby in Russia are trying to sow discord between Russia and Azerbaijan, but they won't succeed in their propaganda efforts, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev told Anadolu Agency, SİA informs.

"Armenia and the Armenian lobby, functioning in Russia, work every day to sow discord in relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. Every day, regularly. Their everyday work is to blacken Baku, create a negative image of Azerbaijan in the Russian press, and cast a shadow on relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. They believe that the revanchists will intensify in this way and may start the war against us.

But they are deeply mistaken. First of all, the relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are on a high level, and we openly discuss all issues - on the level of presidents, defense ministers, foreign ministers. We immediately contact and resolve any issue that is concerning to any of the sides. Today I can state that there are no problems in the Russian-Azerbaijani ties related to resolving any pressing issue. The relations are generally quite positive. Armenia won't succeed in its propaganda efforts," the head of state said.
