110 police officers injured in UK riots so far as real Brit patriots thank cops with sweet cards
In the week since trouble first reared its head after the murders of three little girls in Southport, more than 110 police officers have been injured on Britain's streets, according to The Mirror.
It is thought around 110 police officers have already been injured in the rioting so far.
Trouble erupted a week ago, after the horrifying murders of three little girls from Southport amid misinformation on social media. Trouble then spread with major riots erupting in Rotherham and Middlesbrough at the weekend.
This week police have been on high alert after a chilling list of targets was released online by those complaining about migration. They included threats against immigration lawyers, advice centres and properties linked to asylum seekers.
Far-right groups have been plotting to bring more fear to the streets using messaging apps like Telegram. One post said: "Wednesday night lads. They won't stop coming until you tell them... no more immigration."
Battered officers have suffered broken bones, leg injuries, concussion, bruising, head wounds, cuts during the widespread violence which saw them pelted with bricks, bottles, fire extinguishers and concrete blocks. one was knocked unconscious.
Kind members of the public have been contacting and visiting police stations to say ‘thank you’ and take cards and cookies since the trouble flared. Last Tuesday 53 officers were hurt in Southport after riots erupted and thugs tried to set fire to a mosque, following the deaths of three little girls.
On Friday night Sunderland thugs targeted two mosques, pelting them with bricks and setting fire to cars, a police station and a citizen’s advice centre. Three officers were hurt.
Liverpool, Hartlepool, Hull, Plymouth, Belfast have also seen violent disorder. In Plymouth on Monday night several officers were also hurt as unrest erupted.
