Peace in region may be possible after signing comprehensive peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, says Turkish FM

"The Azerbaijani side has put forwarded a suggestion of peace but the Armenian side has responded it late," said Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu in his interview with Haber Global, SİA reports.

Minister has reminded that envoys have met four times so far regarding normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkiye and the process is closely related to Azerbaijan-Armenia regulation.

"We are working for normalization of relations in stages and for sustainable peace and have taken several steps in the direction of strengthening confidence so far. Certain works have been done on implementation of flights, trade, on borders. But it is not realistic to see the process (normalization between Armenia and Turkiye) separately from the process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Peace in the region may be possible after signing a comprehensive peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia," Cavusoglu added.
