"Russian and Ukrainian delegations came close in Istanbul. Unfortunately, then the sides drifted apart from each other," said Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut in his interview with TRT Haber TV channel, SİA reports.
He noted that this was caused by the situation in Irpin and Bucha.
"We are trying to bring Russia and Ukraine closer again," said the Turkish FM.
Cavusolu noted that he is not hopeful about the ceasefire in Ukraine: "But we are hopeful about the grain corridor".
