"I hope that the meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Tbilisi will be successful and will bring positive dynamics to the dialogue between the parties," Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili said in a meeting with Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, SİA informs.
Bayramov noted the role of the Georgian Prime Minister's personal efforts in mediation between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
During the meeting, Georgia's peace initiative in the region, issues of cooperation in mutually beneficial areas, as well as the economy, trade and culture, were discussed. It was noted that the dialogue platform will help to normalise regional relations.
The parties also discussed strategic partnership and cooperation in transport and energy between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The Foreign Minister expressed Azerbaijan's firm support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Garibashvili noted that Georgia also supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
