The visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan is expected next month. According to SIA, President Ilham Aliyev stated this in his introductory speech at the meeting dedicated to the end of six months of this year.
"Azerbaijan has always been active within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, and contacts expanding both within the organization and between member countries. This year, I had three meetings with the President of Turkiye. In April of this year, the President of Kyrgyzstan visited Azerbaijan and a meeting was held. In June I had visits to Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. I had meetings with the heads of state of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, with the chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Parliament of Turkmenistan. Next month, the President of Kazakhstan is expected to visit Azerbaijan. These are just the visible matters, and they show how actively the contacts are developing. Of course, our relations with the Turkic states are one of the priority issues for us, and political support is expressed mutually and discussions are held on important projects - both bilaterally and multilaterally. Active cooperation in transport, energy, and other fields is in progress" - the head of state noted.
