The first meeting of the new composition of the Civil Service Management Council held under the chairmanship of the head of the Presidential Administration
On July 7, the first meeting of the new composition of the Civil Service Management Council was held. SIA reports that Samir Nuriyev, the head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, opened the meeting with an introductory speech and emphasized that the creation of a modern civil service system in Azerbaijan and how its development based on democratic, legal and justice principles is connected with the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev. It was noted that the great leader's rich management experience played a major role in the organization of the civil service according to modern requirements and in the training of highly qualified, professional national personnel. The adoption of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Civil Service" in 2000 was an essential step in the regulation of relations in the field of civil service in our country, and issues related to the legal status of persons working in this sphere.
It was stated that the improvement of the legislative framework in the field of public administration and the application of standards that meet modern challenges, the development of national personnel potential, the implementation of purposeful personnel reforms that serve to improve the quality and efficiency of the civil service are always in the focus of President Ilham Aliyev, and consistent measures are being taken in this direction.
The President of Azerbaijan has given special importance to high professionalism, individual skills, and initiative in the civil service, and has identified the observance of moral and ethical values, the rules of ethical behavior, the activities of state bodies (institutions), civil servants, and the full and correct implementation of the adopted decisions as the main task.
At the meeting, reports on the selection of the Chairman of the Council, the organization of the Council's activities, the current situation in the field of civil service, including the report of the State Examination Center were heard, and discussions were held on the current state of forecasting and planning of staffing in the civil service.
As a result of the voting, Samir Nuriyev, head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was elected as the chairman of the Council. In addition, the functions of the Secretariat of the Civil Service Management Council were assigned to the Legislative and Legal Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the activities of the Secretariat of the Council were approved.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the Presidential Administration, Samir Nuriyev, noted the need for more flexible and efficient coordination with state bodies (institutions) for the proper implementation of the new important tasks assigned to the Civil Service Management Council, and wished success in the Council's future activities.
