On June 10, 2022, an event was held on the occasion of "June 15 - National Salvation Day" jointly organized by the Sheki regional organization of the New Azerbaijan Party and the territorial party organization Rabita Meydan. The event was attended by Dashgin Mikayilov, chairman of the Sheki branch of the New Azerbaijan Party, Kamil Mammadov, member of the organization, chairman and members of the territorial party organization.
Opening the event, Vugar Nabiyev, chairman of the Communication Square territorial party organization, said that there was a need for a leader to prevent the occupation of our lands by the Armenian armed forces, to save the country from the tense political situation and aggravated socio-economic situation. On June 9, 1993, the great leader Heydar Aliyev returned to Baku, voting for the call of the people, and on June 15 was elected chairman of the Supreme Assembly, and a new page was opened in the history of Azerbaijan.
Kamil Mammadov, an employee of the Sheki branch of the New Azerbaijan Party, spoke about the importance of the National Salvation Day, noting that the National Salvation Day is a day of great political and historical significance for the Azerbaijani people. He noted that 1991-1993 was remembered as the most difficult period in the modern history of our country in which Heydar Aliyev brought Azerbaijan out of the crisis.
Azer Suleymanov, a party activist, said that after the return of national leader Heydar Aliyev to power, number of problems in Azerbaijan, including economic problems, were resolved, a ceasefire was reached in a short time, the "Contract of the Century" was signed. During her speech Sumaya Mukhtarova noted that the worthy successor of National Leader Heydar Aliyev Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev had liberated our occupied lands in 44 days and ensured our territorial integrity.
