Since 2003, Oklahoma and Azerbaijan have maintained a close partnership through the National Guard Partnership program. "Given the close ties between the people of Azerbaijan and the state of Oklahoma, Governor Kevin Skitt issued a declaration celebrating Azerbaijan's Independence Day and the alliance between Oklahoma and Azerbaijan," the embassy shared.
