Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov had a telephone conversation. The statement came from the Turkish National Defense Ministry, SIA reports.
During the telephone conversation, Akar stressed the importance of an immediate ceasefire, the urgency of evacuating Turkish citizens by land and sea, and discussed the security of Turkish merchant ships waiting in Ukrainian ports, as well as their delivery to Turkey.
In addition, the Turkish minister stressed that his country will do its utmost to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
