Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, MP Aydin Huseynov commented on the issue. For example, the fact that the opinion polls and exit polls are in line with the official results proves that the election marathon is a direct manifestation of the clear will of the people, the voters, "said Aydin Huseynov, referring to another important factor. The unanimous choice of the people is an unchanging celebration of the endless trust, confidence and confidence in President Ilham Aliyev: “We can explain the following reasons for such success. The fact is that during all the periods of Mr. Ilham Aliyev's leadership of our country, in parallel with the great path of development of Azerbaijan, the pillars of our national statehood are based on quite strong foundations. Let us take another look at the basic principles of the policy pursued and reflected under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev during 2003-2018: a resolute and balanced foreign policy based only on results, the success of our diplomacy, the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Council of Europe , To have a say in the OSCE, NATO, various international associations and structures, to propose and implement important initiatives, to make our country a central factor in the world - all this was achieved in a short time and thanks to high analytical intelligence, and this is directly related to President Ilham Aliyev. It is assessed as a logical, obvious result of the progressive consciousness existing in the example of the Aliyev factor.
The MP explained another aspect of the people's trust and will with economic achievements: “It is no secret that President Ilham Aliyev is recognized worldwide as a reformist leader. The presidency of 2003-2018 proves that these historical intervals are an indicator of the growing development of our economy. Let's look at the statistical studies and their results: during that period, the gross domestic product increased by 3.2 times, and at the same time, the foreign trade turnover increased by 4.6 times, showing that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner for its trading partners.
In addition, the volume of exports increased by 6 times, budget revenues by 13.5 times, and the country's strategic foreign exchange reserves by 26.6 times, which played a role in ensuring the financial security of Azerbaijan. Of course, the successful economic policy has played a role in the rapid development of our regions. The adopted Social Economic Development Programs of the Regions have had a positive impact on the growth of the gross output of our regions. The nominal income of the population also began to increase, and this figure increased by 8.6 times. In particular, the minimum wage increased by 12.9 times, and the population's deposits in banks increased by 30 times. During this period, a rapid process was launched to eliminate unemployment problems. 1,958,400 new jobs were created in Azerbaijan, and the unemployment rate was reduced from 9.2 percent to 5 percent. The improvement of living standards has also affected the development of social life - the poverty rate has fallen from 44.7 percent to 5.4 percent, more than 245,000 IDPs have been provided with housing, the next buildings, dormitories, etc. for them. Social construction works have been carried out.
According to Aydin Huseynov, progressive decisions have been made to improve the financial situation of the people, and President Ilham Aliyev has taken decisive steps to ensure the interests of the people. The increase in pensions and pensions by more than 10 times is reflected in the statistics. Along with all this, the rapid development of social infrastructure has been ensured. Taking into account schools, hospitals, sports facilities and centers, parks and playgrounds, we can say that their number is in the hundreds.
He noted that there is another important factor in the achievements of 2003-2018. According to him, the Davos Economic Forum, which defines the political and economic environment of a changing and globalizing world, has become the highest tribune of the reformist President Ilham Aliyev, which is in the center of the world's attention. Not surprisingly, according to the Forum's report ("Global Competitiveness Report 2017-2018"), Azerbaijan ranked 35th and managed to maintain its leadership in the CIS: "Look, at that time, Azerbaijan was recognized as one of the 10 most reforming countries in the world. At the same time, it ranks 44th in the world in terms of innovation potential and 14th in the application of ICT in government agencies. It also proved that Azerbaijan has chosen the path of rapid progress in terms of high technologies and has achieved its goals.
In addition to the above, the MP stressed that he could not list the successes and achievements, and one of the main core of the economic foundations of these realities was the fundamental development of the economy in the oil and gas sector. The BTA gas pipeline was put into operation in 2007 - our country became one of the world's oil and gas exporters and in the following years rose to the level of leadership. In particular, the foundation of the Southern Gas Corridor was laid on September 20, 2014, as an important part of the Southern Gas Corridor in Baku on May 29, 2018, and in the city of Eskişehir, Turkey on June 12, 2018. The opening of the well-known Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline took place. "Azerbaijan has become one of the most important countries in the European space, both in terms of energy security and security."
Emphasizing an important factor, Aydin Huseynov noted that the goal of every success, every economic development is to ensure the security of Azerbaijan, and President Ilham Aliyev focused on strengthening the Army: “Over the years, the Azerbaijani Army has grown rapidly. developed, became one of the strongest armies in terms of equipment, weapons, equipment, combat capability, and at the same time, took part in many international exercises.
