Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with the co-chair of Israel-Azerbaijan Joint Intergovernmental Commission, Minister of Tourism of Israel Yoel Razvozov, SİA informs, citing the Ministry.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov first expressed his condolences over the terrorist attack in Tel Aviv yesterday and said that as a country suffering from terrorism, Azerbaijan strongly condemned all forms and manifestations of terrorism.
Noting that Azerbaijan attaches importance to the development of relations with Israel, the Minister stressed the significance of the establishment of an Azerbaijani trade representation in Israel and the opening of a Tourism Center in this regard. Noting with satisfaction the high-level political dialogue between the two countries, the Minister said that mutual visits gave a positive impetus to the further development of relations.
Referring to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Israel on April 7, Minister Bayramov shared his congratulations and best wishes in this regard.
Israeli Minister of Tourism Yoel Razvozov noted with satisfaction the fruitful meetings held during his visit to Azerbaijan, in particular, the discussions with the President, as well as other bilateral contacts. They noted the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, which have developed in many areas over the past 30 years, and the potential for further development of these relations. Minister Razvozov reiterated Israel's constant support for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
The sides discussed the issues of bilateral relations in a number of areas, including energy, education, high technology, military technology, tourism, and others.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed Razvozov on the current post-conflict situation in the region, including demining, restoration, and reconstruction works and noted with satisfaction the participation of Israeli companies in this process.
During the meeting, the ministers stressed the importance of the continuation of mutual visits, as well as the ongoing political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries. After the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister Yoel Razvozov took part in an exhibition organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Israel.
