Ankara hosts meeting of Azerbaijani and Turkish parliamentary delegations

A delegation led by the chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee for International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Connexions Samad Seyidov met with the chairman of the Turkish-Azerbaijani interparliamentary friendship group Shamil Ayrim and other members of the group in Ankara.

Prospects for the development of relations between the parliaments of the two brotherly countries, regional and other topical issues on the agenda were discussed at the Turkish Grand National Assembly meeting.

It was a pleasant coincidence that the meeting took place on the Day of Restoration of Azerbaijan's Independence.

Highly appreciating Turkey's political and moral support for the glorious victory of the invincible Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, chairman of the committee Samad Seyidov said the Azerbaijani people will continue to stand by the Turkish people.

The MPs noted that national leader Heydar Aliyev's word "one nation, two states!" has literally become a reality in Azerbaijani-Turkish relations.

The Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation, including MPs Sevinc Fataliyeva, Tural Ganjaliyev, and Sahib Aliyev, will join a trilateral meeting of the foreign relations committees of the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian parliaments.
