Pakistani Embassy in Azerbaijan released a statement on the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
SİA informs that the statement was posted on the official Twitter account of the Embassy.
The statement reads:
“Today, June 9, marks the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. Pakistan was among the first countries to recognize the independence of Azerbaijan on December 12, 1991. The diplomatic relations between the two counties were established on June 9, 1992. The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was opened in Baku on March 12, 1993. The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan was opened in Islamabad on August 24, 1997.
The two brotherly countries enjoy excellent bilateral relations which are deeply rooted in our shared culture, heritage, and faith.”
