American expert: Journalists' deaths - tragic news in history of European Free Press

The deaths of Siraj Abishov (AZ TV channel's cameraman, born in 1989), and of Maharram Ibrahimov (AZERTAC agency journalist) are tragic news in the history of European Free Press, and Media Reporting, US political scientist, an expert in international relations Peter Tase told Report, commenting on the tragic death of two Azerbaijani journalists who died in mine explosion in Kalbajar.

He noted that Armenia is Europe's main source of evil and human losses.

"I am shocked to see that the President of the European Council Charles Michel and other leaders are not denouncing Armenia's attitude as an evil state in Europe," the expert said.

He suggested establishing two annual awards of journalism named after these two journalists who gave their lives for fair and transparent media reporting from the regions of Azerbaijan that were occupied by the terrorist Armenian Armed Forces until November 2020.

Peter Tase called for the denouncement and conduction of a thorough investigation of the deeply rooted connections of Yerevan's leadership with European Organized crime.

At about 11.00 am on June 4, 2021, a Kamaz passenger car with employees of TV channels and news agencies dispatched to the de-occupied Kalbajar region to perform their official duties was hit by an anti-tank mine while driving in the direction of the Susuzlug village. Three people, including Siraj Abishov (cameraman of AzTV), Maharram Ibrahimov (employee of AzerTag news agency), Arif Aliyev (deputy representative of the head of the Executive Power in the Susuzlug village), died, and four others were hospitalized with various injuries.
