During the night of May 27-28 our positions located near Ashagi Buzov residential settlement of Babek region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, came under fire from the Armenian armed forces in several directions, the press service of Azerbaijani MoD told SİA.
"As a result, military serviceman, soldier Elkhan Muradov got injured from his shoulder. Our wounded soldier was immediately given first aid and evacuated to the hospital. There is no danger to the life of our serviceman.
The opposite side was silenced by retaliatory fire from units of the Special Forces. The operational situation is under the full control of the Azerbaijani Army.
We state that Armenia is fully responsible for the relative aggravation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in Nakhchivan. We call on the Armenian side to refrain from commiting provocations, other steps that can tense the situation and to behave responsibly,” the information of Azerbaijani MoD reads.
