Zhirinovsky: In spite of the Russians, Moscow, monuments to fascists like Nzhdeh are being erected

"If there is evidence that Garegin Njden was a fascist executioner and directly collaborated with Nazi Germany, of course, a monument to him should not be erected."

The statement came from Vladimir Zhirinovsky, leader of the Liberal Democratic faction of the Russian State Duma, who commented on the presence of a monument to Armenian fascist Garegin Nzhdeh in the part of Khojavend controlled by Russian peacekeepers and in Yerevan.

He noted that the erection of monuments to the Nazis was done in spite of Russia: “Unfortunately, monuments are being erected. In spite of the Russians, Moscow, monuments to fascists like Garegin Nzhdeh are being erected. It is unacceptable to erect monuments to those who collaborated with fascists, executioners, terrorists. IfNzhdeh is the "Armenian Vlasov", then we are against it. Whoever collaborates with the fascists, there should be only a negative attitude towards him,”the Russian politician emphasized.(APA)
