On September 27, French President Emmanuel Macron made a phone call to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Defence.az reports.
Macron expressed France’s concern over the resumption of hostilities on the line of contact between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops, stressing the importance of resolving the conflict through negotiations.
President Aliyev noted that the Armenian leadership deliberately violates the negotiation process. The head of state said the statement “Nagorno-Karabakh is Armenia” dealt a serious blow to the talks.
