"November 12 is the Constitution Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Our constitution was adopted in 1985 with the authorship of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, who had extensive experience in the state building. MP (Member of Parlament) Azer Badamov, told SIA.
"The sole source of state power in the Azerbaijan Republic are the people of Azerbaijan, it has been noted article 1 of our Constitution. Many articles contains providing human rights and freedoms. Azerbaijan has been turned to modern, democratic country taking its Constitution as a guide in 24 years. Our Constitution is the basis law and all adopting laws must be adapted to the requiriment of Constitution. Our Constitution has been improved with amendments and additions for three times. Constitution will serve to development of our country and strengthening of our independency in the future "the MP concluded his opinion.
