"Resolution passed by the US House of Representatives on Armenian claims violates principles of democracy"
"The US House of Representatives adopted a resolution which openly contains political feature, will not contribute to any dialogue between Armenia and Turkey. " The head of the Center for International Relations Analysis Farid Shafiyev told SİA.
He emphasized that, on the one hand, US foreign policy is getting increasingly dependent on the ethno-nationalist lobby, on the other hand, it is becoming unstable and temporary. It is partly the result of that, main actors of the internal policy of the USA (Democratic party and Republican party) over the past 30 years have fell under the ethno-nationalists influence. "In my opinion, it contradicts to the long-term national interests and the principles of democracy of the United States."
Shafiyev explain that, it is absurd politicians who have no professional historical education, arbitrate about serious issue, which requires a scientific approach. However, Armenian lobby presents the adopted resolution as a historic victory. It shows that, as in 1915, the Armenian issue is still abused as a tool in foreign policy by the world powers. "
