Syria conflict can only be resolved politically Mevlut Cavusoglu

" Turkey support political prossess very strong and there is no military solution and we believe that Syria conflict can only be ressolved politically," Mevlut Cavusoglu said, all these during the speech in the third annual international forum of TRTWorld, according to SIA.

Minister emphasized that, ''indeed we are living in a world or age that, has a lot of uncertainties and we are living in a chainging world. In our region particularly, our societies have been facing many problems, along with other global challenges like unilateralizm, rise of far-right or far-left racism, xenaphobia, islamaphobia and etc. Terrorism is one of the most difficult threats of our age. We see that no country can address this threat alone. But we have the problem. What are our main problems? First, political groups or politicians do support terrorist organisations just because they subscribe the same ideology. Today many far-left political groups, particularly in Europe try to take PKK out from the list of terrorist organization, just because they subscribe the same Marksist, Leninist, communist ideology. I have to underline that we do not have any problems with these ideology, politicians or political parties. Second problem is that, terrorists are use as proxisies to fight against third parties including state.''

Before talking about operation ''Peace Spring'' let me tell you what we want. What does Turkey want in Syria? First of all Turkey support political prossess very strong and there is no military solution and we believe that Syria conflict can only be ressolved politically and we will continue our effort. Our effort to reach a political settlement in Syria, constitutional committee has been established and the first meeting of the committee will be held at the end of this month, Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

He also underline that, ''For a political settlement we need maintain calm, ceasefire on the ground. That is exactly we have been trying to do in Idlib and we have avoided another humanitarian disaster. We have always played crucial roles to confidence building measures between regime and oppositions and they have exchanged many detainees so far. Through operation we eliminated many DAESH terrorists and cleaned 2000 square km from this terrorist organisation. Another aim of Turkey has been to create a safe zone in the other side of border. Why? First of all national security is vitally important to our nations and we have to clean our borders from terrorists.''
