Szijjarto, Novak discuss seamless delivery of Russian oil and gas to Hungary

Uninterrupted supplies of Russian crude oil and gas will continue, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said after a telephone conversation with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

"We noted that deliveries of oil and gas supplies are being made on schedule and without any glitches. Alexander Novak assured us that, despite international sanctions, the Russian side will be able to perform repair work on the TurkStream gas pipeline, so gas deliveries to Hungary will be seamless in the forthcoming period," Szijjarto wrote on his Facebook page [resource banned in Russia due to its ownership by Meta, which has been deemed extremist in Russia - TASS].

Szijjarto and Novak also discussed the project for construction of the Paks-2 nuclear power plant. "Preparatory efforts are in full swing and, given that new nuclear power generation capacities are needed to ensure reliable power supplies for Hungary, our government will continue to stand in the way of any sanctions against the [Russian] nuclear sector," the top Hungarian diplomat added.
