Vincent van Gogh's 1884 portrait, "Woman in a White Cap," has been sold at the European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF) held in Maastricht. According to information from the NOS channel, the buyer paid over 4.5 million euros for the artwork.
The piece was offered for sale by the M.S. RAU Gallery based in New Orleans, SIA reports citing foreign media.
TEFAF will continue until March 14th. This year's fair features the participation of over 270 galleries and antique dealers from more than 22 countries, showcasing a diverse range of paintings, sculptures, decorative art pieces, photographs, and more.
