Participants of the Second Shusha Global Media Forum, themed “Unmasking False Narratives: Confronting Disinformation” held on the occasion of the 149th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Press, toured the city of Shusha on July 21.
They initially admired the mysterious landscape from Jidir Duzu plain and took commemorative photos.
They then visited the newly renovated Government Services Center in Shusha, where they learned about the facilities provided. Following extensive renovations of the four-story building, services such as "ASAN khidmet" service, "DOST Service," the SME House, and branches of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (post, telecommunications) are now operational there.
Forum participants also visited the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque, Shusha's oldest mosque.
During the tour, they were informed about the damage inflicted by Armenians on the cultural monuments during the occupation, including the falsification of ancient artifacts. It was noted that comprehensive restoration and reconstruction work began immediately after the city's liberation, focusing on both infrastructure development and the restoration of the city's authentic character and historical and cultural monuments. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation plays a significant role in these efforts.
