Fatma Meriç Yılmaz, the President of the Turkish Red Crescent Society, has announced that around 2700 tons of aid materials are set to be delivered to Gaza, SIA reports citing Turkish media.
In a social media post, Fatma Yılmaz mentioned that another ship, prepared by the Red Crescent groups, is ready to deliver aid to Gaza.
According to her statement, loading operations for approximately 2700 tons of aid materials are currently underway. The ship will depart from the port of Mersin and head to Egypt.
Subsequently, the aid materials will be transported to Gaza from the Rafah border crossing point using cargo trucks.
The majority of those affected by the severe attacks on Gaza by Israel since October 7, including over 30,000 children, have lost their lives.
