Parliament of the Republic of Albania Elisa Spiropali during her working trip to the Swiss Confederation, The Press and Public Relations Department of the Parliament told SİA.
It was said at the meeting that Azerbaijan and Albania are friendly and partner countries. The sides emphasised the existence of fine opportunities for further expansion of cooperation in economic, trade, tourism and other spheres. The parliaments' intention to contribute to the expansion of co-operation between the countries was also expressed.
Satisfaction with the joint activities of our parliaments in a number of international parliamentary organisations and mutual support was voiced in the course of the talk. It was said that the expansion of the ties between parliamentary committees and the friendship groups would contribute to deepening relations between our legislatures.
Information was also provided on the Parliamentary Conference to be held in November this year in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, within the framework of COP-29. The importance of joint activities of legislative bodies on multilateral platforms in the fight against climate change was emphasised.
