Azerbaijan and Saint Kitts and Nevis have signed an agreement on the mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official/service passports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said on X, SİA, informs.
The signing took place during a meeting between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Saint Kitts and Nevis counterpart Denzil Llewellyn Douglas on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
"These agreements will further facilitate official travel, broaden diplomatic contacts, and strengthen people-to-people ties between the two countries," the MFA said on X.
The sides also exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of intensifying political dialogue, encouraging mutual visits, and strengthening inter-institutional coordination within multilateral platforms, including the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement.
Jeyhun Bayramov also met with Antigua and Barbuda's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Everly Paul Chet Greene. The Ministers signed the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official/service passports" and the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda on mutual exemption of the visa requirement for holders of ordinary passports."
It was also noted that during Jeyhun Bayramov's meeting with Beninese Foreign Minister Corinne Amori Brunet, an agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and service passports between the two countries was also signed.
"These important documents will significantly contribute to strengthening bilateral ties, promoting tourism, and facilitating seamless official and people-to-people contacts between our nations," the statement emphasized.
