The delegation of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan embarked for a visit to Chisinau in order to observe the constitutional referendum and presidential elections to be held in the Republic of Moldova on October 20, Media and Communication Department of the Secretariat of the Central Election Commission told SİA.
According to the invitation addressed by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova to the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rovzat Gasimov, deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission, and Rashid Yusifbeyli, head of the Secretariat's international relations department, are participating in the observation of the said referendum and elections in Moldova.
Within the framework of the visit, representatives of the Central Election Commission will hold meetings with the Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission of Moldova Angelica Caraman and other officials, and discuss the possibilities of expanding inter-institutional relations and exchange of experience in various fields related to elections.
In addition to familiarizing themselves with the processes of general preparation for the Constitutional referendum and the presidential elections, the delegation will also monitor the voting procedures at the polling stations in the capital on the election day.
