During COP29, alternative routes have been designated due to restrictions on the streets and roads where state and government leaders' convoys will pass, Orkhan Mahmudlu, Head of Transport and City Operations at the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company.
He noted that during the Leaders' Summit on November 11, 12, and 13, various adjustments will be made on the routes from the airport to the city and toward the Olympic Stadium.
According to Orkhan Mahmudlu, the roads to be implemented include Airport Highway, Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Neftchilar Avenue and Yusif Safarov, Niyazi, Istiglaliyet, Lermontov, Mikayil Huseynov, Khagani Rustamov, Teymur Elchin, Mehdi Huseyn streets.
