The number of foreigners arriving in the country last month has been announced.
The State Tourism Agency told SIA that 137,491 foreigners have arrived in the country in May. Compared to the same period last year, an increase of 166 percent was recorded. Since May 2021, 51,637 foreigners have come to the country.
In January-May this year, the number of foreigners visiting the country was 468,170. This is 118 percent more than in the same period last year. In January-April 2021, 214,628 foreigners entered Azerbaijan.
Turkiye (32,726), Russia (28,824), Iran (16,139), Saudi Arabia (8,671) and Georgia (6,314) are in the top five countries with the highest number of visitors.
